Hastings Business School is a private, independent provider of courses and training leading to nationally accredited qualifications in management, law and marketing. We aim to serve the business community of the south east of England as well as those individuals who aspire to become the best in their chosen business or profession.

Promoting fresh thinking and best practice, we are committed to enhancing the continued professional development of our students. We believe that students and lecturers should inspire each other and that, in the appropriate learning environment, students learn from each other.

We recognise that the courses we provide can be challenging and intellectually rigorous and that our students will often be studying for their qualification at the same time as working in positions of responsibility either as an employee or as a proprietor of their own business. Many also need to combine their studies with family commitments. Others may have recently left school or college and will be looking for continuing learning support, albeit in the context of a more responsible and self-motivated adult learning environment. We also anticipate that some of our students will be in the process of changing their employment or pursuing new employment objectives or ambitions.

We acknowledge these challenges and pressures and aim to provide as flexible and personal approach as possible in our course provision. To this end, our courses will normally be delivered to small groups of between six to fifteen students, thus enabling each of our students to communicate effectively with their lecturer. This is in contrast to many education and training institutions which seek to maximise the number students attending a lecture regardless of the effect which this may have on a student’s performance, success and enjoyment of a course.

Hastings Business School is approved by The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and by The Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) to deliver their accredited courses leading to career qualifications in management and law. We will also offer courses accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Our course provision extends from level 2 to post-graduate level 7.
